Training
-
Trained originally and certified at the Atlanta School of
Massage in 1995, Sharon studied Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage
to begin her career. After completing her initial training, Sharon continued to
expand her knowledge base. In 1997, Sharon became certified in
Pregnancy and Post Partum Massage which has become one of her
favorite specialty areas and a joyful part of her practice.
Several years later, Sharon began studying CranioSacral Therapy
through the prestigious Upledger Institute where she ultimately
earned her certification in 2003. This certification is a
rigorous process and is difficult to achieve and therefore few
practitioners manage to obtain it. Sharon is one of only three
certified CranioSacral Therapists in Georgia.
In recent years, Sharon has gone on to become certified in both
Medical and Neuromuscular Trigger Point Therapy. Sharon is
privileged to work with clients who are referred to her by local
physicians in order to help them live and function in greater
comfort. Totally committed to continually expanding her
knowledge in state of the art healing techniques, Sharon is determined to
offer her clients only the highest quality, skilled massage and
body work.

Experience
-
As everyone knows, the best way to hone a skill is to practice
it. Sharon has had 15 years of it.
Her in depth experience includes 4 years at
the former Pregnancy Massage Center in Vinings, Georgia. While there
she refined and expanded her skills in treating the unique
physical challenges and emotional concerns facing women during
their Prenatal and Post Partum months.
Working in a spa inspired Sharon to develop the soothing strokes
and quiet demeanor necessary for relieving tension and stress.
Being employed within a Physical Therapy practice taught Sharon
how to treat pain and rehabilitation issues using
CranioSacral
Therapy and how to use massage appropriately to treat injuries.
For the last 5 years, Sharon has been happily seeing clients in
her own independent practice, CenterPoint Therapies, where she
sees and assists a wide variety of individuals with a multitude
of issues and concerns.
She feels tremendously gratified and privileged to help her
clients achieve lives which are more balanced and comfortable,
free of stress and pain.
